SBBCollege is joining in what is now the world’s largest earthquake preparedness drill on October 20th at 10:20 a.m., with official registration now topping eight million people!
The College, along with radio and television stations around the state, will air a “Drop, Cover and Hold On” drill broadcast at 10:20 a.m. The Great California ShakeOut has been organized in an effort to have Californians practice how they will protect themselves during an earthquake, and increase overall preparedness.
Each campus of Santa Barbara Business College – Santa Barbara, Santa Maria,Bakersfield, Ventura, Rancho Mirage and Online – will participate in the event. For those campuses that offer night class schedules for students, including those in the career-oriented programs of business administration, criminal justice,paralegal studies, medical assisting, medical office, information technology andearly childhood education, a second drill will be conducted at 5:50 p.m.
