The Medical Assisting training program at SBBCollege is designed for students seeking entry-level positions in healthcare as the first step in a stable career in the medical field.
Patient care
Students will acquire the skills and knowledge needed for clinical procedures such as preparing patients for treatment, administering injections, sterilizing instruments and performing venipuncture procedures throughout their medical assistant training. To strengthen their training, medical assisting students will also be proficient in their understanding of the structure and function of the human body, medical terminology and medical law and ethics.
Medical office
In addition, medical assistant training students will receive the benefits of cross-training as they learn important front-office administrative skills like medical billing and coding, electronic health records and processing insurance forms.
Career preparation
Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified for entry-level positions as medical assistants, lab assistants, caregivers and more in medical offices, clinics, or hospitals. Medical assistant training graduates are also eligible to sit for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) and/or the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) examinations.
