SBBCollege Santa Maria Hosts Free Event to Help Job Seekers Get Hired

SBBCollege Santa Maria will hold a Professional Resource Development Fair on Friday, May 4th from 10 am to 1 pm, at their campus located on 303 Plaza Drive in Santa Maria.

During this free event, the College will help job seekers learn valuable job-obtaining skills through a series of half-hour interactive sessions dedicated to professional resource development.

Guests will learn tips and techniques on resume building – including what to include and what to leave out. Attendees will also learn how to use online social media in their job search, such as proper online etiquette, privacy, self-image and email professionalism. Sessions will also include topics on professional dress topics and interview skills.

The skills presented during the event are highlights of the many “get hired” skills taught to SBBCollege students during their education at the College. Past SBBC graduates will provide insight on their job seeking experiences, revealing to job seekers tips on building professional portfolios and sharing self-presentation skills that can be used during interviews.

For those interested in learning more about job training and career education in Santa Maria, SBBCollege staff will provide campus tours and present information on career training and education programs, as well as financial resources available to help pay for training and education.
